As our portfolio of hotels, restaurants, vacation rentals, and event venues continues to grow, Bay View Collection has recently expanded its management team as well. We are pleased to announce the hiring of Sarah McLean as the General Manager of the all new Rockport Harbor Hotel. Overseeing daily operations in Rockport, Sarah’s executive level position will provide strong on-the-ground leadership, guidance, and support. She will also assist Kerry McCormick, our Food & Beverage Director, with management of the hotel’s two restaurant and bar venues.
A community-minded entrepreneur, Sarah is well known locally as a small business owner and board member for several organizations, including past board chair of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce. She is a graduate of both Johnson & Wales and Colorado State Universities with an Associate’s and a Bachelor of Science degree in Resort & Restaurant Management. In addition, she is a recent graduate of Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
Sarah has had a connection to hospitality all her life. Before her twenty years of customer service in the packing and shipping industry, she spent her previous years at work in the hospitality business within resorts and restaurants up and down the east coast, finally settling home in Midcoast Maine in 2000. She embodies our company culture, and will inspire all staff to strive for an exceptional and memorable experience for our guests. When she is not planning events, checking on guests, or serving up specialty cocktails, Sarah can be found on the sidelines of a softball game, a soccer match, or a gymnastics meet supporting her three children.
