Rockport Harbor Hotel Supports Coastal Mountains Land Trust

by | Jan 2, 2026 | Uncategorized

Tami Lynch-McGrail, General Manager of the Rockport Harbor Hotel, presented a check this week to the Coastal Mountains Land Trust (CMLT). Representatives from the CMLT who received the check was Ian Stewart, Executive Director, and Tempe Landi, Development Director. The donation of $400 is the first of hopefully several donations this winter in support of the organization’s mission.

For over 35 years, Coastal Mountains Land Trust has worked to conserve and steward the wild, scenic, ecological, and agricultural landscapes of Maine’s western Penobscot Bay region. Through land protection, trail building, and community outreach, the organization has preserved over 13,000 acres of forests, farmland, and waterways—ensuring that the beauty and biodiversity of Midcoast Maine are protected for generations to come.

CMLT is just one of several local charitable organizations that the Bay View Collection partnered with and supported this year. At Grand Harbor Inn they offer a similar discount to guests in support of Making Communities Happen Meals on Wheels Program, at 16 Bay View Hotel, they partnered with Maine Cancer Foundation Tri for a Cure, and at Lord Camden Inn, they partnered with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine.

“Giving back to our community is woven into the fabric of the Bay View Collection and our owners, Stuart and Marianne Smith. The mission of the Coastal Mountains Land Trust matters, and resonates for many of our hospitality family and we are excited about the opportunity to contribute to their great mission of supporting coastal, and island communities, says Lynch-McGrail.”  “We are looking forward to continuing to support and donate additional funds this winter as more guests take advantage of this great offer and worthy cause.”
