16 Bay View Proudly Donates to Maine Cancer Foundation Through “Great Rates for a Great Cause” Campaign

CAMDEN, ME – June, 2026 – The Bay View Collection is proud to announce the successful completion of another meaningful community giving initiative through its annual “Great Rates for a Great Cause” campaign, raising $3,361.11 in support of the Maine Cancer Foundation’s Tri for a Cure through its partnership with 16 Bay View Hotel in Camden, Maine. Today, Erick Anderson, General Manager, and Trina Johnson, Guest Services Associate of the Bay View Collection, presented a check to Ray Ruby, Executive Director of the Maine Cancer Foundation.

As part of Bay View Collection’s annual winter giving campaign, guests staying at 16 Bay View had the opportunity to receive a deeply discounted room rate while making a direct donation to support the Maine Cancer Foundation, whose mission focuses on cancer prevention, early detection, and improving access to care for individuals and families throughout Maine. Through the generosity of guests who participated in the program over the winter season, Bay View Collection is honored to contribute $3,361.11 to help support this important cause.

The partnership centered around the Tri for a Cure, Maine’s only all-women’s triathlon and one of the state’s most inspiring fundraising events. Organized by the Maine Cancer Foundation, Tri for a Cure has raised millions of dollars over the years to fund cancer research, education, and patient support programs that directly benefit communities across Maine.

“Each year, we’re humbled by the support our guests show through the Great Rates Stay Package,” says Erick Anderson, General Manager of 16 Bay View. “The program encourages people to experience the beauty of Midcoast Maine in winter while supporting important charitable partners like Maine Cancer Foundation. Our guests are always touched to learn that their visit helps make a difference, and we’re proud to be able to connect memorable travel experiences with meaningful community impact,” says Erick Anderson, General Manager of 16 Bay View.

“You shouldn’t have to sacrifice the best care possible, based on where you live in Maine. Our state is large but also beautiful, with that can come with some additional barriers. So, when amazing communities come together like yours to support our work at MCF, you not only improve the lives of your neighbors but also folks in all 16 counties,” says Ray Ruby, Executive Director of the Maine Cancer Foundation.

“As a breast cancer survivor, I am especially proud to see the Bay View Collection support such a vital organization. Knowing first-hand the importance of accessible care in our state, it is an honor to be part of a team that gives back to the Maine Cancer Foundation and helps support our neighbors across all 16 counties,” says Trina Johnson, front desk associate for 16 Bay View.

The Great Rates for a Great Cause campaign has become an important part of Bay View Collection’s commitment to community involvement, allowing guests to enjoy exceptional winter travel experiences while directly supporting organizations that make a meaningful difference throughout Maine. Each year, Bay View Collection partners with select charitable organizations whose missions align with causes that positively impact the communities where they live and work.

“We’ve always believed hospitality extends far beyond welcoming guests through our doors,” says Matthew Levin, Director of Hotels for Bay View Collection. “Programs like this allow us to connect our passion for exceptional guest experiences with opportunities to support organizations doing truly life-changing work throughout our state. We’re incredibly grateful to every guest who chose to participate and help make this donation possible.”
